While working on a series of that videos that relied heavily on an archive of nature footage, I became aware of how much my relationship to that footage was shaped by a comfortable remove from the horrors it documented. As a response, in this series of commissioned drawings I reintroduced myself and those I love into the predator/prey encounters I was witnessing.
