In September 2009 I moved from my East Village apartment after 17 years. Before leaving, I documented the marks left by all the art on the walls. The intimate scale of the photographs — each is 8.5 x 11 inches — highlights the fragility of these spectral wall traces captured in the brief reprieve before they were painted over for the next tenant.
